International Sociology Honor Society
Alpha Kappa Delta (AKD) is dedicated to the encouragement and recognition of academic excellence, achievement in sociology, and promotion of an interest in sociology, research in social problems, and activities leading to human welfare.
Who May Join:
Undergraduate students must:
- Be sociology majors or demonstrate a serious interest in sociology
- Be at least a junior
- Rank in the top 35% of their class
- Have an overall GPA of at least 3.0
- Have a sociology GPA of at least 3.0
- Have taken at least four sociology courses
Graduate students must:
- Have completed at least one semester of sociology graduate study
- Have a graduate GPA of 3.0 or better
- Have continuous enrollment towards a sociology graduate degree

- Fill out the application form
- Make a check for $50 to AKD (for membership and cords)
